1971: I went to a meeting in Toronto where I saw Guru Maharaj Ji coming to the West for the first time. He was accompanied by his mother, Mataji. I was disgusted by the whole thing, the Mahatmas, the worship, the flowers. I decided that it was not for me. I was in another group at that time: Sri Chinmoy.

1977: I was introduced to a satsang meeting in Montreal. One week later I went to a retreat near Montreal. I had a darshan experience also. GM was not there. I had then quit Sri Chinmoy to become an aspirant.

1981: INDIA: GURU MAHARAJ JI ASHRAM North of Deli - I spend three months in India. I stayed 5 weeks in GM ashram where they treated me like a mahatma. I tried to do service but I stopped doing it because of the heat and lack of water. So I spend my days visiting places. I was very impressed by the indian premies and their devotion (should I say gratitude?). They were working day and night to build a swimming pool for their Perfect Master. At night they were working with spot lights, thousands of them. I realised how all this beautiful monuments and temples in India could have been build with free labour and a lot of devotion. An old Mahatma who has been a Mahatma for 50 years was the doctor of the ashram. He had a small dispensary. He asked me for some coffee grains, he used it as medicine for his patients.

1985: I got married and my wife asked me to choose between her and Guru Maharaj Ji. I chose her and that was a wise decision. I have stopped going to satsang. But I still practised meditation. I am still with my wife and we have an 12 years old daughter.

1995: I have heard in a satsang many years ago from the mouth of an initiator that guru maharadji has created God. How can this be? How can somebody say something like this? I believe that there is only one God, one Creator and you can find this character in reading the Bible. I have found a christian radio station here in montreal which helped me a lot. God can heal you if you have faith, if you keep his commandments and do his will. God the Creator has a plan for each one of us. God want us to be happy. God is Love.

1998: I found this site on the internet. The internet is good to give the right information!

2001: I trust the Bible and God's teaching. In the Bible, God warns us many times about false gurus and false prophets. I study the Bible from this web site: www.kgm.org.

Here is my site on the Bible: www.geocities.com/herbobec/bible/ref.html

Here are some warning from the Bible about false prophets:

Mark 13:21 Then8 if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!'9 or 'Look, there he is!' do not believe him. 13:22 For false messiahs10 and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect. 13:23 Be careful! I have told you everything ahead of time.

Matthew 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are voracious wolves.1 7:16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes are not gathered2 from thorns or figs from thistles, are they?3 7:17 In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad4 tree bears bad fruit. 7:18 A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit. 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 7:20 So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.

Matthew 24:23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!'9 or 'There he is!' do not believe him. 24:24 For false messiahs10 and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 24:25 Remember,11 I have told you ahead of time. 24:26 So then, if someone 12 says to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,'13 do not go out, or 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe him

Corinthians 11:13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful25 workers, disguising themselves26 as apostles of Christ. 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself27 as an angel of light. 11:15 Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves28 as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.29

1 Galatians 1:8 But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach10 a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you,11 let him be condemned to hell!12 1:9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!13

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves1 with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings,2 4:2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars3 whose consciences are seared.

1 Timothy 6:3 If someone spreads false teachings2 and does not agree with sound words (that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness, 6:4 he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions, 6:5 and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a way of making a profit.

2 Timothy 4:3 For there will be a time when people5 will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires,6 they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.7 4:4 And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths.8 4:5 You, however, be self-controlled9 in all things, endure hardship, do an evangelist's work, fulfill your ministry.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.1 These false teachers2 will3 infiltrate your midst4 with destructive heresies,5 even to the point of6 denying the Master who bought them. As a result, they will bring7 swift destruction on themselves. 2:2 And many will follow their debauched lifestyles.8 Because of these false teachers,9 the way of truth will be slandered.10 2:3 And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their11 condemnation pronounced long ago12 is not sitting idly by;13 their14 destruction is not asleep.
